My thoughts

We go to church on Sunday mornings most of the time, lately it seems that Sundays are the only days we have to relax here at home and catch up on necessary chores. But I attend every wed night service while the boys are in Awanas and the reoccurring message that I've gotten has been God is in Control. Simple, huh. Those four simple little words have become my new mantra "God is in Control". This past year has not been an easy one for me, moving, starting over financially, finding new friends and where I fit in. Getting used to living close to family again. It's all been hard. Don't get me wrong, it's been wonderful, too and I'm thankful that we had the opportunity to do this. But it's not easy, and I find myself through out the day repeating, "God is in Control", late at night when I can't sleep because of worry, "God is in Control", when I've had it with the boys behavior, "God is in Control". And as someone said Wed night, what ever challenge, struggle, hard time God brings us to, HE will bring us through it. God is in control!

********************************* ******************************************************************* I absolutely love to take pictures! Growing up we were always taking pictures at family gatherings, special events and even just for fun! We have tons of photo albums and pictures everywhere. I can remember very vividly my sister taking me outside to take pictures with my wooden riding toy and my doll. She would tell me how to pose, where to look, etc. I was probably only three or four at the time. I've been trying to better my "eye" for photos recently and while reading another blog I found a cool picture of shadow people, so this my first attempt with the boys to make shadows but I'm hoping I can get them to try again. I always take crazy pictures with the boys like jumping on the bed, or off the swing trying to get them flying in the air! I hope they can look back on the pictures and have great memories of their childhood. Everybody say "cheese" and take lots of pictures!

This morning I was in my mood to toss out all unnecessary stuff. I get in this mood occasionally (probably not often enough). It's very easy to get overwhelmed with loads of stuff in a small house with four people who love to collect, recycle and reuse stuff. But I tackled the kitchen window and counters and after I finished I realized what a peaceful window view I have overlooking the backyard. I had to take a picture because I know myself and it probably won't stay looking like this for long. It will fill up with various and assorted stuff till I get in the mood to toss again.

and you will see the cute little bag I made for my neighbor's little girl. It took me about an hour from start to finish. I really love making bags of all kinds. I have the basic bag style under control, now I want to experiment with different stuff like zippers, buttons, etc.

So (sew) much fun! Ha!
